Data deletion

How to remove your data from WAlenz, whether you use WAlenz for your business or received messages through it.

If your business uses WAlenz

You can remove data yourself, step by step, or delete the whole workspace at once.

  1. Disconnect WhatsApp. Log in, open WhatsApp and disconnect your account. WAlenz stops sending and receiving messages for it.
  2. Delete contacts. In Contacts, select the contacts (or all of them) and delete them. Their conversations and messages are deleted with them.
  3. Keep a copy, if you want one. In Settings → Workspace, choose Export all data. You get one ZIP file of your contacts, messages, campaigns, deals, appointments and templates, which you can download for 7 days.
  4. Delete your workspace. The workspace owner can delete it in Settings → Workspace with Delete this workspace, confirming with the workspace’s name and their password. Sending stops at once, and the workspace’s contacts, conversations, campaigns, templates and files are then deleted. We keep only records the law requires, such as payments and invoices.

If you can’t log in, contact us by email at [email protected] or through our contact form from the email address of the workspace owner, with the workspace name. We confirm the request and delete the data within 30 days.

If you connected WAlenz with Facebook

When you connect WhatsApp, you give WAlenz access to your WhatsApp Business Account through Facebook. To remove that access, open your Meta Business Settings (or the Business Integrations page in your Facebook settings) and remove WAlenz. WAlenz can then no longer use your account; to delete the data we already hold, follow the steps above.

If a business messaged you through WAlenz

  • To stop marketing messages, reply STOP (or tap the business’s “Stop promotions” button). You can also turn off marketing messages from that business in WhatsApp.
  • To have your data deleted, ask the business that messaged you; it decides what happens to your data. You can also contact us by email at [email protected] or through our contact form with your phone number and the business’s name, and we’ll pass on your request and help delete your data.
